Do you use social media to promote your green business?

Do you use social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, an others) to promote your business?

In terms of your marketing, what works for you? What doesn't work?

In terms of people who you might buy from, what works for you? What turns you off?

Gareth,

I use the 'holy trinity' of FB, LinkedIn and Twitter; LinkedIn has been particularly useful combined with follow-up face-to-face meetings and attendance at seminars etc.  I don't use YoutTube but I know some do; Storm Consultancy said they have particulalrly good feedback from their TouTube videos.

Mike

Similiar to Mike but not so much FB (tend to think of that as a retail medium) but LinkedIn is my most useful.

But they are a means to en end e.g. a face to face meeting.

You Tube yes - seen clients get work from their video/animation but also Slideshare.

What turns me off is blatent promotion and not giving any value through your tweets, LinkedIn connections etc
